It goes through the normal log off and shut down screens, the monitor turns off and the hard drive seems to turn off. My problem is the power LED's, wifi LED etc all remain lit along with the system fan running. After a while I get the BSOD.</span><br />

I have never been the sort of person who blames manufacturers for laptop failures. A certain degree of failure should be expected with any assembly line. However, it is clear that there is something fundamentally wrong with the most recent batch of HP Pavilion notebooks. HP needs to acknowledge and address this problem.<br />
